I love both Street and Portrait photography and this small panel portrays some of the flavour, colours, characters and antics captured on the quietest of the three days!

Notting Hill Carnival is led by members of the Caribbean population, many of whom have lived in the area since the 1950s. Among the largest street festivals in Europe, it attracts up to 1.5 million people.

The carnival’s reputation was somewhat tainted by the extreme behaviour of some revellers. However, more recent events have been less problematic allowing the fun, vibrancy and revelry to shine through.
